milan design week 2012. rough materials

siamo tutti tornati da milano e la sua design week e tra le varie riflessioni anche quest'anno alla fine le cose che mi hanno colpito di più sono stati i materiali.

 le texture naturali, tanta lamiera, legno lasciato grezzo, rivestimenti porosi, pareti scrostate, ferro, cemento e gusto industriale. insomma, tutte quelle meravigliose imperfezioni che alla fine la gente comune a casa propria non le vuole. e come sempre rimango affascinata da un gusto di vecchio, recuperato, vissuto. 

we are all back from milan design week and during my reflection i realize that even this year what impressed me most at the end were the materials. natural textures, lots of sheet metal, raw wood, porous coatings, rough walls, iron, concrete and industrial touch. shortly, all those wonderful imperfections that common people usually don't like and won't have at home. and, as always, I was fascinated by a taste of old, recovered, lived.
